Our Baby Story...Waiting on Benjamin Wyatt
Families are made all kinds of ways....
As some of you may have been wondering about the little hints we've been posting lately on Facebook and Instagram, I thought I'd go ahead and share our story with you and hope you'll keep us in your thoughts and prayers. My hubby and I have desired to start a family and add the sounds of pitter pattering feet to our home, but after failed attempts and a few heartbreaking pregnancy losses, we began to feel that perhaps it wasn't meant for us. We had discussed adoption as an option, but that seemed so daunting as it's become such a BIG business and if you could afford it, you could wait many years for a child. So even that option seemed unlikely and it was disturbing to know that so many deserving families like us who want to love, raise and care for a child may not because of all the political red tape and unnecessarily amplified expenses involved. We resolved to wait and just move on, believing if it was Gods will for us to become parents, then it would somehow come to be.
A few weeks ago, about 5 to be exact I was contacted by a friend who knew of our most recent loss and wanted to know if we would be open to adoption. Absolutely! "We'll I know of a couple that are having to give their unborn child up for adoption and he's due April 16th" and would we be interested? And if so, she'd put us in contact with the birth parents. It took me all of three seconds to answer her, Yes!
The following week we met the birth parents and accompanied them to the 8 month ultrasound. It immediately all clicked into place for us and we had a lot of peace about the decision. I was in love with this baby before I heard his heart beat, but after that and seeing this sweet little baby on the monitor during the ultrasound, I was enamored, my heart was FULL of joy:).
From that moment on, we have been busy with lawyers and home study's, preparing a nursery in a matter of weeks where we thought we'd have 9 months to do. Every second of this journey has been worth it and has only built our excitement to welcome our son into the world!
We will keep you all posted as things progress. We still have lots to do before he's home.
God is ever faithful and sometimes answers prayers in ways we may not expect, but its often exactly what we need. We feel incredibly blessed and are over the moon!!!

My Mountain Morning
One of the many and magical things I love about the mountains that I call home. A perfect, sun filled, glorious fog. I hope this finds you having a lovely and magical Thursday of your own!

The Old Farmstead
That captured our hearts and inspiration. Located on 10 acres just over the border from where we live, is a home, a 177 year old farm that we would love to call home. We are in love. One can dream.....
My week November December
I just love this time of year, especially where we live. With four long seasons we get to savor each one and enjoy all they have to offer. It's also been a busy week at the shop and I have met so many lovely new people! It's been the best part. Today I enjoyed my Sunday with my hubby on a beautiful, crisp, sunny Sunday. I hope you all enjoyed your Sunday doing what you love best. Here is a recap of my week in photos.

Happy Thanksgiving!!
I hope you all have had a wonderful day filling your bellies, making new holiday memories and reliving old traditions. I know I am stuffed silly from all the delicious fixings and have enjoyed my day sharing all things good with friends and family. May we be reminded daily of all we have to be thankful for and consciously give gratitude for all our blessings.
